GARBAGE DUMPING NEAR OUR WATER SUPPLY

URGENT NEWS UPDATE: Attention Giles Countians! Last week it was brought to my attention the City of Pulaski was dumping garbage(waste) on the ground at the City Street Department located at the corner of Block Street and 4th Street. I went there and took these photos and I reported this to TDEC, Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, Columbia Field Office. Upon inspection they found the City was in fact dumping waste on the ground at this facility, storing tires, metal and an unidentified liquid. In a conversation with Beverly Philpot with the Columbia office today, the City does not have a permit for such actions. I just confronted the City Council and City Administrator. Mr. Harrison stated they had verbal permission to do this but could not supply me with anything to prove this. This area is VERY close to the raw water intake for YOUR water supply. WE ~~NEED~~ DEMAND NEW LEADERSHIP!
