Now to your more concerning statement, mudslinging. I am going to assume you are referring to my posts and my website. As far as I know the first incident of anything other than positive comments from either candidate was Mr. Dunnavants signs "Do not vote for Vicky". I was called (as the former Chairman of the Election Commission) and asked the legality of this. I provided Tennessee Code Annotated 2-19-120 which states it is illegal to put up campaign signs for or against a candidate without the proper disclaimer. I as chairman removed some signs similar several years ago. I do not know who removed those signs but they were illegal. I have now seen complaints lodged by Preston Murrey and Allen Barrett claiming Mrs. Harwell's signs do not have the disclaimer on them. She discovered this long before the complaints and made every attempt at putting a sticker on her signs already placed throughout Pulaski. Mr. Dunnavant has attempted to have Mrs. Harwell arrested for stealing his signs even though he knowing violated the law himself. Now, who knows if Mr. Ford had anything to do with this or not. So If you are claiming my actions, my facebook posts, my website and my "Beat Ford" Car are mudslinging by a candidate, you are dead wrong. These are my actions to inform the voters in Pulaski the truth about what is really going on. I bought and old Ford car, painted it up myself. Mrs. Harwell had no idea of the car until I presented it at her event on the square a few days ago. Ironically, Mr. Murrey and Mr. Dunnavant had their trucks and signs at Mrs. Harwell's event too. Mr Ford had a similar event on N. First a couple weeks ago, I don't believe Mrs. Harwell had one of her vehicles with a sign placed at his event. So lets not say she nor I started your "mudslinging". I've spent 30 years working in public service to build this town into a great place to live and now there are lots of underhanded things going on, secret illegal meetings, etc. and I WILL NOT sit idle and let it be destroyed. Mayor Ford has made many very false claims in his ads. For example, he claims $250 million in new industrial development since he took office. Those of us that know, know better. It is nowhere near that. I am working on a response to those and will be posting soon on my website, so check www.davidrackley.com frequently if you want the truth.
Btw: I did give him credit for learning how to display the TN 3-Star Logo. ;-)
